From the peace of Perth, to the traditions of Melbourne to the beach resort of Queensland; each city in Australia seems to give off a different vibe. Which is your favourite city in Australia and which do you think is the most undiscovered by unique city?

I agree with Nesi and Chad, Melbourne, without a doubt. Shows people the otherside to the Australian stereotype. Fashion, food, history & culture - Melbourne has it all.

I find Ballarat (VIC) to be a beautiful city, full of historical granduer and charm. Being a 2 hour drive away from the Grampians is really quite the added bonus as well. If only i had pictures to show you (i was still using film then), i think you'd find it hard to disagree.

Having grown up in a small town and live for extended periods in metroplis like London, KL and Bangkok I'll have to say Perth is the best city. It just has the right balance. It's not too crowded and noisy but yet have enough excitment to keep you from being bored to death. The beach is short a drive away for those who don't have a pool in their own backyard. Its peaceful but still offers all the services and benefits of living in a modern city. It's also currently home to the 2006 AFL premiers!!! I don't need to say much more.
