A man has been killed while urinating on a London railway track.

The 41-year-old Polish tourist was electrocuted after reliving himself near the tracks at Vauxhall station in south London, UK newspaper The Sun reported.

It's believed the man was killed instantly when the 750-volt charge travelled up his urination stream.

The married teacher is thought to have been in London on a trip to improve his English.

His body was found by station staff, who observed him hopping into the recess area on surveillance cameras and realised he had not returned.

The station has no toilets, but there are public restrooms not far from it.

"Perhaps because he was from Poland he had no idea the rail was electrified," a source told The Sun.

"His family back home are heartbroken."
