The worst lately was when she sat on a john at some Washington Hotel and pushed a switch saying it was wonderful to be able to warm your bum, or words to that effect. Samantha does not strive to be a hostess but to be a comic star and she fails miserably. We need a narrator, not a cretin trying to be the focus of the program. Samantha comes across as a poor waif from the wrong side of the tracks who has arrived at last. She has no elegance, manners or style.
Well, I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but if the program was as you described, it would be B.0.R.I.N.G. Her shows are original and are not tedious, monotonous documentaries. It's been done. That's one of the reasons I like Great Hotels and Passport to Europe.
