Check out the 24hr food hall in central cairns - something for everyone! Also worth taking a stroll down the main promenade in the evening and see what the locals are cooking up on the outdoor public barbecues!
We heard yesterday there was absolute devistation in Cairns from a hurricane. We will be there in a few days time. Anyone there on these message boards need help? We want to help any one in need of assistence there so let us know. I hope you are all ok in Cairns.... Gabe
probably best to stay away from the beaches then... swim at the man-made lagoon in the middle of the city... all its missing is fake pink flamingo statuettes... CHEESY as anything but nothing else like it
It was a Cyclone...it passed two days ago causing sever devistation. Unfortunately another cyclone has been detected and should arrive in the north of sydney at the end of the week...days before we're due to arrive. What does everyone think? Do we have any business being there? - Tiffany
