The TJs are in Perth from 3-8 April! Give them the insider's view of Perth - the best places to shop, view an art exhibition, have coffee, catch a performance, dine, chill out, hike, even bungee jump!

And Perth is defintely a great place to be - better weather than Melbourne and friendlier people than Sydney.
In Perth you definitely have to check out Cicerello’s for the best Fish & Chips (heavily soaked in salt & vinegar of course!). There's 2 outlets, original one is in Fremantle - Fisherman's Wharf and the new outlet (which some say is better) is in Manduarah.
Whilst in Mandurah, you'd do well to check out this gourmet pie shop (apparently is has won some pie championships) called Miami Bakehouse
Also in South Perth (Cnr of Douglas Ave & Mill Point Rd) is this great little Italian Trattoria called Ciao Italia - always crowded, this place serves up one of the best Seafood Pasta's and their Chilli Mussels are fiery!
TJs get ready for some great seafood in Perth. Check out 'The Fishy Affair' in Northbridge, home to the most delicious grilled yabbies (like giant prawns) and divine Lemon Sole. Mmmm
If you have the time, I suggest visiting Rottnest Island. Don't know how the locals feel about it, but I love it! A tiny quaint island crawling with really cute marsupials called Quokkas. You can cycle around the island, visit a lighthouse, swim in the crystal clear waters (there are even secluded spots of beach you can go sk_nny D_pp_ng...haha). A different side of Perth I guess...
Hiya TJs! Hope you are having fun. Just a little tip of what and where you can do and go in Perth. Fremantle or Freo as the locals fondly call is the most relaxing place a traveller can ever be. It has a market on the weekends (opens every Friday afternoons, whole of Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays) that sells fresh fruits, vegetables, not forgetting their famous seafood, clothes and tons of knick knacks. There is also the cappucino strip where one can sit down, relax and have a cuppa. As suggested by others, you can't leave Australia by not trying their famous fish and chips on vinegar (also chilli mussels)! Lots of shops around Freo to shop for clothes, surfing stuffs, knick knacks, vinyls, second hand stuffs etc. Another smaller version of Freo is Subiaco city, just 5-10minutes ride of the train. It has a market, shops and cafes. If you're around in Perth at night, you can visit King's Park for a good view of Perth city or better still, go to South Perth to have the whole breathtaking view of Perth city with the Swan River in front of you! For beaches the most famous ones are Cottosloe Beach and Scarborough Beach. Coburn Beach off Freo is also a good beach to visit during the sunset. Another one is the Waikiki Foreshore at Rockingham. It has the most breathtaking view of sunset. For wines and chocolate, there's always the Margaret River. These are just a few tips of what you can do when you are in Perth
