melbourne is footy capital, if you can get to a game - you should definately go - costs $20
entry or as a whole group check out yum cha at westlake restaurant in little bourke st in the city - the most yummiest food! really cheap aswell...
or you could just check out all the little bars and cafes down brunswick street, and take in the muso culture and the bohemian vibe that it has to offer. catch a number 96 tram from bourke street in the city and it takes you right in the heart of it all...dont just check johnston and smith streets (that run off brunswick st) are also good streets to check out

enjoy!
p.s i watched you guys last week when you went to my hometown darwin - i noticed that you guys didnt have much luck in finding food - im surprised noone recommended you get down to the mindil beach markets on a thursday night..the BEST food and the most distinctive smell of multiculturalism whilst you watch the sun go down on the beach - thats the real darwin experience

but snaps for trying out all the things that you did get up to anyway

..if you ever get there again though, definately make a bee line for the markets!
