Hi Wal,
Darwin is a lovely place. You are lucky to live there. I liked renting the scooter and getting outside of the main strip. I was a bit nervous on it at first, however.
I really liked the warm weather too.
We're in New Zealand now. It is very beautiful here.
Thanks for the sweet words...takes one to know oneSmiler
Cheers!
Renee

Renee, I was sad to find that you guy's came through Darwin without my knowledge. I must have been too hard at work. I have been watching the show, and you are really growing on me. Something remarkably alluring about your looks, just thought I'd let you know you could e-mail me, walsnas@hotmail.com , I look forward to seeing the rest of your shows, I have not travelled into Asia yet, it should be quite interesting. Take care all of you TJ's, look after this girl. Smiler She seems quite special.

Gabe's vlogs just crack me up! I was wondering if someone else could relate to what he said about stereotyping people from other countries.
This is something that has definitely concerned me. Everytime I go abroad, I worry about revealing my nationality lest the people I'm talking to don't like me, and what's worse think that all people in my country are like me. I do realize it cannot be completely averted. After all, we as humans always WANT to know what people in other countries are like, so when we do meet a person from another country, we have nothing else but that tourist to base our assumptions on.

I don't think I am consciously on my best behaviour when I talk to people in foreign countries, however, the fear of being judged sometimes stops me from talking to people. When I go abroad, there are often SO many people I see everywhere that I want to talk to. I see them on trains, buses, hotel lobbies, everywhere.
I just see them and want to speak to them, to be friends with them, to exchange notes about our cultures.
However, I NEVER muster the courage to speak up to them. I could never say why. But now, I realize its probably because I'm worried whether they'd think : "Do all Indians speak when they're not spoken to?"
