THanks Brown Bear!
Stepping outside of my comfort zone is something I've done a lot on this trip. Bungy was one of those times.

Thanks for your kind words!
Renee

Hi Yenly!
First off, I wish I could translate this into Mandorin, like you did English, but I don't know how. But, hopefully your cousin can translate this???

Wow, what an honor it is to read your post! THank you so much for translating the message. I've been talking about you so much since meeting you in Niewan and seeing you again at the press conference.

It was an honor to be involved in the Hakka Opera. It was so much fun getting the make-up and dressing in the beautiful silk clothing.

I hope the young generation participated in the Opera. It looks and sounds amazing, and it is fun to be a part of. I want to see more and be more involved and if I lived in Taiwan, I would.
I think I would have to get longer pants thougth Smiler

I've been wearing your scarf everywhere. It felt so good to give you a bracelet and I was so touched when you gave me your pink scarf. It is so soft and I love the color. I arrived in Hong Kong and it was hot and humid, but I refused to take it off. I love it. It is very special to me. THe picture is also very special. I look forward to showing my family and telling them about how you taught me the song and dance.

I'm sorry for not speaking Mandarin. But, I don't think we needed many words to show that were so happy about the opera and we matched each other's enthusiasm.

Thank you so much again for posting this message. What a great surprise! I'll email you this message just to make sure you get it.

My experiece in Taiwan was memorable, and that is owed to the people I met there. Like you!
Keep in touch!

With much admiration for your talent in Hakka Opera.
Renee

Hi Renee

This is Yenly Jiang.
I appreicate my supervisor assigned this task to me.
So that I can help and let more people know about Hakka opera via "5 Takes".
I feel honored because I always wanted to be able to do this.
Because I promised my supervior, who took good care of me all the time, that I will bring more audience for Hakka opera.
Of course, I am very happy to meet with you guys. You guys are very easy to get along with.
Unfortunately I cannot speak much English, otherwise I am a very talkative person and noisy sometimes.
When I saw you talking to me excitedly in English, I could only say "I cannot speak English" as my reply.
I almost wanted to hit myself. Being so talkative, how could I be so silent?
Luckiy we had Miss Sun kind enough to do the tranlation for us, otherwise it will not be as smooth when communicating with you.
Thank you for showing your interest in Hakka opera. The young generation in Tawan does not show as much interest in Hakka opera as you did.
It was quite an exciting and unforgettable experience for being able to interact with you guys.
I heard that you are a writer. I think "5 Takes" program will help you gain wider experience that can be used in your future writing.
Wish you become a famous writer.
Hope I can meet you again and I don't have to be so silent (which is very difficult ha ha ha)

BTW, since I am familiar with Tiffany, Josh, Gabe. Please help me pass the following message to them:

To Tiffany: Her blonde hair is so charming. I believe it would be even more charning when she dances.

To Josh: I appreciate that he likes my singing. I will continue to polish my singing skill.

To Gabe: I must be looking very dumb in his DV. Because when he videotaped my singing, I almost burst into laugh and I did not sing very well at that time. Please don't let other people view it, I need maintain my perfect image ha ha ha ha ....

I really anticipate to be able to see you again.
Wish you have a wonderful jouney!

My email is rejs_ebzblbch@ntjcpa.edu.tw

PS: Special thanks to my cousin in US helping me tranlate these messages. Otherwise, you would never know what I really feel.

Hi Renee,

I am sure you will fall in love with Hong Kong, from the moment you step on the airport. It is so impressive~~~~ Do not worry about the language. Many HK people could speak English. Just be prepared for the crowd......So many many people on the streets in places like Causeway Bay and Mongkok that my foreign friends always feel suprised.

Enjoy you stay in Hong Kong~~

I told Gabe. Whale Sharks are our friends.
Good question, A culture vulture is someone who travels with the intention of having off the beaten track experiences and sinking his or her teeth into the culture. This could be indigenous culture, arts, pop culture, etc.
The possibilites are endless because culture is endless.

Hope that helps.
Renee

thanks for the post!
