If you go to LKF then definately head to some of the bars up there. Plenty to choose from and somebody already mentioned the ice bar which is worth going to and also try the cavern as well which is a fun and happenening bar. Which as it so happens is where my buddies and I hang out.

Oh and try and hit the bars before 9 p.m as thats when its happy hour and the drinks are so much cheaper then as you'll be on a budget.

Avoid the bars in wanchai on lockhart road as thats where the ahem ladies of the night frequent and if you're not careful you could get your drinks spiked and robbed.

Foodwise definately have to try durian! as its the season now and its definately worth trying. ensure its ripe as it tastes so much better that way.

As has been mentioned beforehand, stanley market and the night markets in cat street are worth going for the bargains to be had.

Oh and try and get a place in the ymca etc and avoid those hourly hotels in mongkok and prince edward that will only charge you $150hk a night for a room, these are love hotels!

Hi guys!
I've only watched ur shows twice so far and I thinks its such a cool idea! wsh i could do that with my friends one day Smiler well since I live in HK I would suggest for you to definetely travel either from kowloon to Hong Kong Island by ferry because you can see the great view while traveling and it doesn't cost much! Foodwise I think you should try the dim sum and try things like egg tarts. Lantau Isalnd, which is the biggest island in Hong Kong, also has the worlds largest outdoor buddha statue which you can go to by ferry from ither Tsim Sha Tsui or Hong Kong Island ferry pier and it costs HK$31 to go to and then go by bus to reach the buddha, you can also try the vegetarian food there which is also really good. I don't know if you'll have enough money to shop but here in Hong Kong we have this place called Fa Yuen Street Market which is in Mong Kok where you can buy really really cheap stuff i.e. you can buy a Abercrombie top for US$8. they hve this great dessert place called Hui Lau Shan which is famous for its MAngo drinks and desserts and the price is quite reasonable.
The only legal gambling here is Horse racing so if you want to try and gain some more money for the trip try horse racing!
Good luck and enjoy Hong Kong when you get here =)
PS Tony I think you're hot

Explore the natural and wild side of Hong Kong

Greetings TJs! Yes, you guys have a fantastic show and I just want to introduce all of you to the little known but breath-taking beauty of Hong Kong's country parks and wildlife.

In this seemingly dense city of almost 7 million, 40% of its land is actually protected country parks. There are 23 country parks in all and 15 special areas for protection:

If you would like to take a short hike to explore the country parks, I would recommend the following:

Hong Kong Island:
Tai Tam Country Park
This is the green haven of Hong Kong Island. It comprise of 4 resevoirs surrounding by rich flora and fauna. For details on the park and how to get there:

New Territories
Shing Mun and Kam Shan Country Parks:
This two country parks contained resevoirs surrounded by rich hilly woodland. Both of these parks are famous for it's wild population of macaques(monkeys) that inhabit the area. If you want to view some of the monkeys (which can be readily seen) and details of the parks and how to get there, click on the links below:
Shing Mun:

Kam Shan:

Sai Kung Country Parks
Regarded by many as the most beautiful and wild area of Hong Kong with fine white sandy beaches and hiking trails through the forested hills with views of the South China Sea. In addition, original historic Chinese villages can be seem at Sai Kung West country park (Wan Tsai Ext.). The area is divided into three country parks, Sai King East, West and Wan Tsai Extension. Details and how to get there are listed in the links below:
Sai Kung East:

Sai Kung West:

Sai Kung West(Wan Tsai Extension:

In addition, if any of you are bird lovers, make sure you don't miss Mai Po Marshes Natural Reserve. It is an internationally significant wetland manage by the World Wide Fund for Nature in Hong Kong. It's most famous for it's flock of migratory birds. It is located near Yuen Long, in the New Territories of Hong Kong. Details of the reserve and how to get there are contained in the link below:
http://www.wwf.org.hk/eng/maipo/index.html

Also, there is the nearby newly opened Hong Kong Wetland Parkhttp://www.wetlandpark.com/en/index.asp

Last but not least, you may be surprised that Hong Kong is home to pink coloured dolphins. They are the Chinese White Dolphins, a subspecies of the Indo-pacific humpback dolphin. These dolphins became famous during the handover when the dolphins were made a symbol of Hong Kong. Tours to watch those dolphins can be found at:
http://www.hkdolphinwatch.com/

Cheers,
Bruz

P.S-Maps and guides to the Hong Kong country parks can be readily be found at the airport, Hong Kong Tourism Board branch offices, most hotels and hostels and bookstores around town.
