American Chopper Rides Into Australia
Tourism Australia and Discovery Networks have partnered to bring the top-rating American Chopper series to Australia to film a special three-part installment of the series.

The program will focus on the Teutul family – Paul Teutul Sr, Paul Teutul Jr and Mikey - the stars of American Chopper, as they discover the Australian people, lifestyle and environment before returning to the United States to build the quintessential Australian custom motorbike.

During their Australian visit the Teutuls will experience a range of adventures – from climbing Sydney Harbour Bridge, diving with sharks and cane toad racing, to touring Ayers Rock on a Harley, painting with indigenous artists and sheep shearing.

The American Chopper:Australia Program will reach 300 million households in over 160 countries and territories in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, United States, UK, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong, Macau, China, Indonesia, Brunei, Cambodia, Papua New Guinea, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Mongolia, Korea and Taiwan.

The Australian tour is only the second time the American Chopper team have left the US to film their show. During a 2005 visit to the UK, American Chopper, attracted 2.5 million followers in the United Kingdom and their adventures were closely monitored by major newspapers, magazines and television and radio stations within the UK.

American Chopper:Australia Program is a joint initiative of Discovery Channel, Tourism Australia and Foxtel.
