We were also there on Saturday from noon till 7pm- we stayed as long as we could! We finally couldn't take any more! I agree with everything that has previously been written in this forum but I just want to add a few more things! It was advertyised as an 'all weather' event-to me that means- shelter from the elements- like the sun and rain, I myself, stood in the rain and enjoyed it- it cooled us down but for parents with young children in prams, etc what were they supposed to do! And as previously stated there was nothing to kids to do! This was a foxtel event- why wasn't there a Foxtel display (Tent) there showing their discovery channel- I'm sure they would have benefited also! I spoke to a family who had just driven 8 hours from Lismore with 4 young children-he was very angry and taking his kids back to the hotel- there was more for his kids to do there! and then he another 8 hours drive back the next day!
And then there was the drink queue- they had 2 people with 2 registers working- how bloody pathetic! The drinks were in bottle or cans- no need to pour beers or mix drinks- why wasn't there more staff!!!! And then at about 5.30pm they ran out of Jack Daniels and Cola cans! And then- they ran out of cans of beer- so they then sold a 300ml cup of beer for $6.00 after pouring it from a 375ml bottle- you just lost another 75ml of liquid! Do the promoters and caterers think that people who enjoy mototrbikes are second class citizens and love been ripped off! Do they think that we don't care if we pay money to see an act and don't get to see it because our kids are sunburnt, wet, thirty and hungry- they're not tired because they slept all arvo as there was nothing else for them to do! I signed a form at the front office expressing my outrage at this event and I encourage all you who read this to do the same- do something- also contact ticketek, Chugg Management, Orange County Choppers, Southern Cross Security, Overflow Park, anyone who may be able to help. OCC are in Australia for another few weeks - maybe they can spare 2 hours with disappointed fans otherwise I want me money back! |

I’ve received my ticketek vouchers so I’m pretty happy now. I didn’t expect anything from chugg and was just willing to give them a headache for a long time. I spent over $500 on a VIP and General ticket and was given $350 ticketek voucher so its a reasonably good compromise. At least there has been some acknowledgment and compensation.

Well, it looks like our old friend Chugg Entertainment lived up to their reputation with Live Earth. Here is an article from SMH online http://www.smh.com.au/news/music/sydneys-livid-earth/20...9/1183833394744.html
It all sounds so familiar .... |

Hi Aussiegirl,
I got in touch with PO and of course there was no record of any registered letter being delivered/awaiting pick up from there. Anyway to cut a long story short,I emailed Chugg and asked them to resend it but to a PO box my partners work uses as there would always be someone there to sign for it.I recieved a $100 voucher about 3 days later. This voucher is valid for 6 months on ANY Ticketek ticket,so for ANY show you wish to see and if you cant use it you could pass it on/sell it to someone else. Its fully transferable and you must get in touch with ticketek and tell them the voucher details. Anyway, its all over and done for us now,not the best outcome, but better than nothing I suppose. Will think twice about going to any concert/show that has Chugg as a promoter though.Best of luck to anyone else thats still going through with the tribunal and looking forward to hearing from Kaz as her tribunal is on wed.Fingers crossed for her and good on her for going all the way!!! |
