I have read on a motorcycle related site that the four bikes brought to Australian by Orange County Chopper were actually replicas and not those actually built on the series.
Does anyone else know of this or can back up these claims? They did look very dull compared to the bikes shown on air. |

I assmume that the insurance company would not let them take the bikes overseas.

Look boogybro, there is no need to be rude mate. It would be pretty hard to replicate the damage done to the bike to make it a replica. Come to think of it, I believe the primary drive was chrome the same as the original because they screwed it up when it went out to paint. And I wonder why jets bike was pretty spot on, Because it was authentic. Mate, by a real camera and not a throw away instamatic. Grow up.

how wrong are you Finster!!
you are obviously not a real oCc fan or you would have picked the comanche as a fake straight away, the biggest give away is the flaps under the seatthat have the missiles! The REAL comanche has 2 per side, the FAKE they brought to australia has 1 large single 'missile' and the rest of the tells that they were fake are the markings on the bike! compare your own photos you took with those of the 'comanche' on the oCc site and you will see the lines on the tank to represent creases or rivets are not the same, the same for all other tins on the bike. better take a closer look at your pics compared to the official pics of the bike.... and get some new glasses before you do. These 4 bikes were fakes! the lincoln mark lt was not exact either, the paul snr custom rigid was the closest to the real one, that I couldnt find a fault with, mainly because i dont have many pics of the real bike. the ny jets bike was pretty close too, no faults if any on that 1. so if i were to bet the house on it, i would 100% back the comanche they had as a fake, purely based on the pics i took compared to the official pics. |

If they were replicas, I must say I couldn't blame them. Those bikes would be insured for $US100,000+. Can you imagine the cost of insurance to send them half way round the world and back! Although it would still be cheaper to insure than to build replicas!
